[Danger!!] Bad Good(s) List to observe the Solar Eclipse and the Sun (jp only)
The Ryuten Astronomical Observatory (RAO) is holding star parties every weekend for all of general citizens (Not for arounders) !
The RAO was build by the board of education on Aug. 1991.
To build the RAO, the board of education had searched for the most darkness sky in the Yoshii region northern Akaiwa city.
You can see the milky way easily (without moon on the sky), moreover, many stars over magnitude 6 (about up to mag. 6.5).

- A student of the hi-school, university, Adults: 200JPY(Yen)
- A student of the elementary school, junior-hi-school: 100JPY(Yen)
- Under junior-hi-school, or age 0-5: free, 0JPY(Yen)

Main: "ASKO 400" D=400mm, F12 cass. & F4 newtonian, with switchable sub-mirror
(It's mainly used the cass.-focus at the star party and/or observations.)

Sub1: TAKAHASHI FC-100 D=100mm, F8 (F5.9 with its reducer)
Sub2: Carton-Opt. D=80mm, F15

- Celestron "C-11" (D=280mm, F10) & Vixen "Atlax"
- Nikon 20x120 Binocular

- Vixen 7x50 Binocular etc.
On the 2F deck, you can be seen stars, planets, nebula, star clusters, (air jet planes, the Kan'non-sama statue in Syohdo Island etc.) through by portable telescopes.
When a star party is held, staffs operate these telescopes to show objects to visitors. So visitors have not need to use/operate telescopes.

After April 2011, it will be changed to closing time, please be careful.
- Fri.: daytime:13-18, the star party: starts 19:00, up to 22:00JST (*)
- Sat.: daytime: 9-18, the star party: starts 19:00, up to 22:00(*)
- Sun.: daytime:9-18, the star party: none.
- Jul 20th - Aug 31st: from Thu. to Mon.: daytime:9-18, star party: up to 22:00
*: If it is good, you can stay to start the starparty in this obs. and/or park.
*: on Nov to Feb, star party will be hold from 18 to 21:00. If it's not be good(cloudy, rainy, snow, etc), star party won't be held and closed at 18.
